Finally an update!

Ok , I know my blog has been reaaally boring. I am so serious when I say that I have been busier then I have ever been in my life. Having a little baby takes all your time. I really did not realize this when my friends and colleagues had kids. Anyway, so much has happened in our lives since Isaac was born in October. I will do my best to summarize to give you some idea.

In December, I went back to work. Isaac started daycare in January. Well about his second week of daycare, I got an awful call saying that we had to get Isaac checked becuase he has a "bruise on his butt." This is a long, painful drawn out story so I am going to summarize. Child protective services became involved but the case was quickly dropped because Isaac's pediatrition diagnosed him with a birthmark called a mongolian spot. I really felt horrible about the whole situation and wondered why we did not notice this spot before. It is really a faint blue mark that in some lights is not even visable. Isaac's pediatrition reassured me by pointing out that she missed this spot as well as Isaac was in to see her just a few days prior. Needless to say, we switched day cares. I am very lucky that we found an opening because day cares in this town have a year waiting list.

Along with that, in January, Isaac developed RSV around the same time as this child protective services situation. RSV is very scary and we were giving Isaac nebulizer treatments twice daily. The day we brought him into the doctor his oxygen sats were very low and he was really weezing. It took quite some time for him to get over RSV.

February was a quiet month.....thank the Lord. Then March hit, and it is so wild. We just get back from Mexico to find our town in a horrible flood. It was like a war zone here. Cherie and Kade, came to live with me while Devin and Chad fought to save their home from the rising waters. Again, a very long story so I will summarize. Chad and Cherie's home was saved, however they did have a lake side view from their home for some time. It was so amazing to see how this whole town fought the flood together. I felt a very strong sense of community and am proud to say that I live here.

Now, April hits and we have another major life change. We sold our home! We have been living here for almost 6 years and really enjoy our neighbors. However, we would like to move to ND so Devin and Isaac can hunt together. We would also like more yard, and so forth. So now we are trying anxiously to find a new home to move into. We are very excited and I am very cognizant of the fact that I need to handle this change with the least amount of disruptions in Isaac's life.

So there you have it, a summary of our past 6 months!
